It’s so frustrating to keep on creating user accounts just to apply for jobs. Isn’t this why there are job boards like monster or hotjobs to keep the process simple? One login and then I’m on my way to applying for jobs. I mean, really.  This is the main purpose of these websites. Everybody is familiar with the site and the process is simple.  It makes sense to post jobs there. But no.  Large companies want to keep it all on their site and anyone that wants to apply for jobs have to go thru the horrifying design and usability of the site and look thru long lists to job titles that don’t make any sense to normal humans.  Really… you should take a look at some of them. Then, when you finally figure out how to upload your resume and think you are done applying for that position and move on to the next, guess what?, you still have to fill the ugly form designed by their IT gurus to input your resume manually all over. YAY!

For now, I’m just going to have to live with it I guess.

So, It’s been over a year since the trip and I have not made any entries since April of 2009.  My bad.  Just been busy with things.  The photos of the trip turned out great.  Over the 3 weeks in India, I was able to get over 3000 photos.  Of the 3000 photos, 1935 made the set.  It’s still a lot of photos, but don’t want to delete anymore.  I have them posted on Flickr, and if you are in my contact list, login and you should be able to see all the photos.  If not, you can always view my photos that are set to public viewing.

So yesterday, I thought I would dedicate some time updating profiles on job boards. So far my profiles on monster, hot jobs, and creative hotlist, are updated. Also, I came across another one called KODA.  The design of the site itself is very impressive and very clean.  If you have not checked out KODA, give it a shot.  I’m gonna hit up career builder today and maybe check up on Pittsburgh Technology Council.

After many months of design and redesign, my website (www.saintauguste.com) is finally complete. Trying to design a website for yourself is very hard.  Not that the process itself is hard, it’s just that I never know when to say enough is enough and finalize the layout.  For months, I kept changing the design.  Ahhh!  Such a pain.  Good thing I like to design.

But anywho, this is a simple website, that showcases my work and capabilities as an interactive designer. Hopefully with this redesign, I can continue to expand my freelance clients and or find myself a full-time position.  I’ll be good with either one.
